special delivery: elder care

Many of our customers are older adults and people with mobility concerns. We're happy to accommodate these customers' needs. Here's how:

We craft our menu according to tastes and needs

Our Retro Tater Tot Casserole is a fresh twist on a classic casserole. We ditch canned condensed soup and make our own creamy, savory sauce from scratch. And it's totally oven- and microwave-ready. Just heat, eat and enjoy.

We specialize in comfort food classics made with a fresh twist and our meals are delivered fully prepared - no assembly required. We find this menu really appeals to older adults. In fact, our older customers often say our recipes taste as good, if not better, than recipes they made decades ago.

We share our menu offline, as needed

Many of our older customers aren't online, so we mail printed copies of each month's menu. Our menu explains options, sizes and pricing and a reminder to call by 5 p.m. Sunday for delivery the next Wednesday. Our older customers always know what's cooking.

We take the time to talk with our customers

We treat our older clients like family because that's how I want people to treat my loved ones. Pictured: Chief Casserole Queen Jess and her 92 year-old grandmother.

Don't you hate it when you want to talk with a real, live person but get stuck in an automated system? Me too. That's why at Cream City Casseroles, we're always just a phone call away.

We want all of our customers to understand their options and order exactly what they need. We're commonly asked about meal sizes, ingredients and how to heat our meals. The info's all available online, but we understand the importance of talking through questions with a friendly, helpful person.

We're glad to help unpack customers' orders

Many of our customers have mobility concerns, making it challenging to lift and carry a large bundle of frozen, oven-ready meals. When asked, we are happy to help unpack orders and put them away.

Frieda, one of our regular customers, has trouble opening our salad containers. Knowing this, our delivery driver offered to pop the lid for her. Frieda gladly accepted his offer and grabbed a fork, eager to dig in. We're happy to go the extra mile.

We even helped one customer rearrange her freezer, putting new meals in the back and moving older items up front. Little things make a big difference.

We keep family members in the loop

Caring for an older adult can be hard ... there's so much to juggle! Grocery shopping/meal preparation is a big concern. Our service gives peace of mind that a loved one is eating well.

Many caregivers place monthly, biweekly and recurring orders to keep the fridge/freezer stocked with wholesome, prepared, microwave/oven-ready meals.

We coordinate delivery directly with the recipient and keep caregivers informed by every step of the way. We email caregivers delivery times and again after the order has been delivered.
